Pyramid is a universally deployable, Python-based web framework that is easily utilisable for both smaller and more complex web applications.
Pyramid adheres to a minimalist approach and is agnostic with regard to persistence model, template language and traversal mechanism. This makes it open for any external system or module and allows it to integrate smoothly in a heterogeneous system landscape.
We make use of Pyramid in e.g. individual software projects for which the Plone content management system would be either too large or too restrictive. Our past successes on the basis of Pyramid include the realisation of this gas monitoring portal on behalf of the VIK (Association of the Industrial Energy and Power Industry, Germany).
Andreas Jung realised the portal gasmonitoring.info on our behalf for the purpose of optimising gas procurement activities of major industrial customers. Agile processes were used to transfer complex computational methods and domain-specific algorithms related to gas procurement onto a modern web platform. Andreas Jung impressed us with his ability to implement complex concepts in minimal amounts of time and to react rapidly to changing requirements.
